Customizing Lock Screen on Windows 11

Windows 11 OS has come with lots of great functions and customizations. In which customizing lock screen is one. Yes, you are quite capable of customizing your lock screen. When your computer is locked, you can show your art, your vision, or anything you like on the lock screen of your Windows 11 PC. That's why we (Tech Harry) are here to show you how to customize the lock screen on Windows 11. So, let's get started.

How to Customize the Lock Screen on Windows 11 PC

You need to follow some simple steps to customize your lock screen. To do so:

1. Right-click on the empty space on your desktop and select "Personalize".

2. In the settings, click on Personalization > Lock Screen.

3. In the next window, you'll see three various options. First, Personalize Your Lock Screen. This lets you set a custom image or slideshow as the background of your lock screen. Second, the Lock screen status displays a status widget on the lock screen. The third is the option that enables/disables the lock screen image on the login screen.

1. To change your lock screen background:

Choose the first option "Personalize your lock screen" and click on the drop-down menu beside it. Now choose one from "Picture" or "Slideshow". For your information, the default option is Windows Spotlight which pulls internet images by Microsoft.

If you select "Slideshow" you can browse any folder in your system which is full of images you would like to show. It will automatically roll all the images from time to time. And if you select "Picture", you can either select a recent image or you can browse different images by clicking on the "Browse Photos", and choosing a custom image for your lock screen. After that, if you daily want to get the latest news, facts, or tricks, you can also enable the option by placing a tick beside "Get fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on your lock screen". You can also disable or untick this option anytime.

2. Lock Screen Status

Next is the Lock screen status. Here you can choose different statuses for your lock screen. These statuses include 3D viewer, Weather, Amazon, Xbox Console Companion, Mail, Calendar, etc. You can get live weather reports, the latest emails, and messages directly from the lock screen.

3. No Background or Image on Lock Screen

This option is the most favorable for those who don't want anything messy on their lock screens but the sign-in box. If you turn the button to Off, you won't see any background image on your Windows 11 lock screen. You will just see the sign-in screen where you enter the password, Pin, etc. Otherwise, you will see your decided background image or slideshow on the lock screen.

After doing this everything, you are ready to go. You can also test the lock screen by pressing the Windows + L key or locking your PC in your own way.
