Google Pixel 6A is Ready to Install Android 13 Beta

The Pixel 6A may not have been released until last Thursday, but Google wasted no time in bringing the latest  Android 13 beta to its new mid-range device. 9to5Google reports that the latest Android 13 beta, version 4.1, is now available for the Pixel 6A. The software was first released last Monday, when it was initially available for the Pixel 4 to 6 Pro.

Android 13 is shaping up to be a relatively minor update to Google's mobile operating system. It builds on some of the design changes seen in last year's Android 12 update with expanded support for themed app icons while adding support for the new Bluetooth LE standard on sound, as well as new security features.

You don't have to wait long for the official release of Android 13  if you don't want to mess with the beta software. Google says the fourth public beta, released last month, will be the last major beta, and that Android 13 is "just weeks away". The details were then reported by 9to5, Google suggests we could see the update arrive in September. For context, Android 12 was released last October, while Android 11 was released in September 2020.

Visit Google's developer site for installation instructions if you don't mind using beta software and want to try out Android 13 a little early.
