Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is Releasing in November with New Map and Gameplay

Activision finally announced Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 during the COD Next showcase. We are receiving a new map, new weaponry, and fighting techniques in this exciting action-packed sequel to the franchise's already well-liked BR game. Not to mention, we finally have a date for the new Warzone 2.0 experience after waiting months. We're here to keep you informed about all the main Warzone 2.0 announcements so that you may stay current.

Welcome to Al Mazrah

The map for the Call of Duty battle royale sequel is equally as massive as the rest of the game. You will begin COD Warzone 2.0 on a sizable map called "Al Mazrah," which includes a modern metropolis, a desert, a rural area, and a beach backdrop. As the name suggests, the majority of the architecture and atmosphere on the map are reminiscent of contemporary Arab nations.

In terms of gameplay, practically every building on the map is open and provides a chance for various play approaches. For most of the gameplay, snipers can jump from rooftop to rooftop without setting foot on the ground.

Gulag is Back Again!

The popular Gulag area from the first Call of Duty game is returning in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 to give players another opportunity to rejoin the action. The dangers at this loot-filled site, however, are significantly higher this time. You will now compete in 2v2 battles and have to deal with AI wandering the arena instead of engaging in combat and winning a 1v1 match with another player. However, you can also use the weapons that are placed throughout the Gulag region.

Better Overall Gameplay Than COD Warzone

In addition to the general setting improvements, COD Warzone 2.0 offers a more realistic gameplay with weapons. In comparison to previous COD games, the camera follows your every move and makes movement easier. Although it may take some getting used to, all weapons have a distinct type of recoil and realistic weapon movement.

All of the weapons (as well as the new throwables) found in the newest Modern Warfare 2 game will be present in COD Warzone 2.0. Beyond the usual locations, you can find weapons in hidden chests that remain in the same area each round. And if it doesn't work out, there's always Gulag.

New Circle Mechanics

No battle royale game is complete without shrinking the circle, and Warzone 2.0 is no exception. But what's exceptional here is the way Activision implements Circle-His mechanics. As you can imagine, the round starts with a giant circle that covers the entire map. The circle then begins to shrink over time, slowly killing players stuck outside.

However, if the circle is 1/3 the size of the map, it will be split into 3 smaller circles generated around the crowd of players. You can use these safe zones (circles) to play aggressively or avoid fights entirely to protect yourself. Finally, when the last zone is displayed on the map, these circles are usually merged into a final smaller circle that appears in the center of these three smaller circles. A final showdown then takes place, with the last player remaining as the winner.
