iOS 16 Battery Percentage Won’t Show on These iPhone Models!

With lots of new features including the customizable Lock Screen, Focus filters for the Focus mode, new iMessage features, and more, iOS 16 is now generally available. Additionally, this restores the battery level on the status bar, which is a welcome addition. Apple has acknowledged that not all iPhone models would be affected by this.

No Battery Icon on These iPhones

The iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini will not support iOS 16's Battery Percentage function, according to a recent support document from Apple. As a result, these models will keep displaying the battery level in the Control Center, a feature that was previously available for all iPhones with a notch.

The battery level was always shown on the status bar of the iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and older models, and even iPads.

The battery percentage will now be displayed right on the home screen of the iPhone XS series, the iPhone 11 Pro, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the iPhone 14 series without the need for users to specifically access the Control Center for that purpose.

You only need to navigate to the Battery section under Settings and turn on the Battery Percentage option to enable this.

As a result, until the battery is around 20% full, the white battery icon will display the battery percentage.
